Do you ever get sick and tired of carrying around uncompleted or even attempted goals and plans you’ve had for months or years?
Do you have notes from a seminar you have not implemented?
Do you have books you have not read?
And, what about courses you’ve bought where you’ve have not gone past module 1?
Yes, we all have…
One of our stumbling blocks to taking action is the fear of an unknown quantity of work we’ll expand when trying something new.
We’ve all been in this familiar situation when learning of a new idea, hack or strategy…
“I love it.. but how long is this going to take?”
And, perhaps this is why you have not signed up to LeadsHook.
I love the idea… but who knows how much effort is this going to take?
You’re not alone! We hear this all the time. 🙂
If this has been stopping you from trying our LeadsHook then today I’m going to share with you the fastest way to create a decision tree.
Whenever we share this with new LeadsHook users, their reaction is almost always a big broad smile… followed by a sign of relief!
Yup, creating a decision tree does NOT have to be a painful process!
Here’s how…
STEP 1: Dust-Off the Digital-Dust Off Your Old Marketing Collateral
Do you have any market collateral or lead magnets gathering digital cobwebs on your hard drive?
It’s time to extract more value from previous investments — this is like finding a wad of cash!
I can almost guarantee you have at least one and possibly many more pdfs, cheatsheets, action-steps, plan of actions, infographics, or charts (among so many other types of lead magnets).
STEP 2: Extract Interesting Fascinations and Nuggets
Go through your lead magnet(s) and make a list of interesting facts or fascinations. You might already have these in your mind.
You don’t need more than 10.
TIP! I like to extract as many as I can. This will allow you to pick the best ones. Do as much or as little as you want.
STEP 3: Turn Fascinations Into Answers
Now turn your fascinations into answers…
Examples
Nugget; Average online ecommerce sales conversion is 2%.
Answer: 2%
Nugget: High performing teams have managers who are great mentors and communicators
Answer: Managers who listen
TIP! This is your decision tree -Easy, peasy…
STEP 4: Edit Nuggets Into Questions and Add “Wrong” Answers
Now, create questions for the answer you’ve created in STEP 3. And add a few false answers
Back to our examples…
Question: What is the average eCommerce conversion rate?
Answer: 2%
Wrong Answers: 1%, 3%, 5%, 10%,
Question: What is the most important characteristic of a great manager?
Answer: Managers who listen
Wrong Answers: Managers who are assertive, Managers who track KPIs, Managers who are technically competent
We have training on how to structure your questions.
STEP 5: Put Questions Into a Sequence
Now, add the questions in a logical and non-threatening order.
And, go through this training video to learn the intricacies of flow.
In fact, the 1-hour Decision Tree course was created from a challenge!
I challenged early beta users to send in their markets or niches, and I recorded the process from idea to a completed decision tree in under an hour. These were markets I had zero knowledge in (and still don’t). It’s about following a recipe, and this is what this training is about.
We’ve got users who are concurrently running campaigns in over 10 markets simultaneously using lessons from the above course.
Action Step:
Dust off your best lead magnet (PDF) and implement it in LeadsHook.
